Two girls, 14, sought by police after two girls, 17, assaulted in London, Ont.

LONDON, Ont. — Police in London, Ont., say they're looking for two 14-year-old girls after two older girls were assaulted, one of them suffering serious injuries.

They say the incident occurred in a store at the White Oaks Mall on Tuesday.

Investigators allege a 17-year-old girl was assaulted by a 14-year-old girl and when her friend, also 17, tried to intervene she was assaulted by a second 14-year-old girl.

One of the 17-year-olds was taken to hospital by ambulance where she was treated for serious injuries, while the second suffered minor injuries.

Police say warrants have been issued for the suspects, who have been identified but have yet to be located.

One of the girls has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and the other with assault and assault with a weapon.
