SAGKEENG, Man. — Two band councillors say a Manitoba Indigenous community is evicting people from two homes due to suspected meth use.
The Sagkeeng First Nation councillors say eviction notices were delivered to the homes following a decision by the chief and council.
The plan is to demolish the homes.
The councillors say people in the community were concerned that drug dealers were working out of the houses.
They say the community is in crisis, and the drug situation has been getting worse over the past two years.
Sagkeeng is about 120 km north of Winnipeg. (CTV Winnipeg)
